Prestag
Company

Early, and in no hurry to pretend otherwise.

Prestag builds tracking for places where people, vehicles and equipment move faster than the paperwork that is supposed to follow them.

01  /  What we build

Two questions, asked everywhere.

Where is it now, and what happened yesterday. A school asks it about a child and a bus. A hospital asks it about a wheelchair. A site asks it about a crew and a crane. A city asks it about a plot and a collection round.

The answers look different on a screen and the people asking have nothing in common, but the shape of the problem does not change. Something moved, somebody needs to know where it went, and the record of it was going to be written by hand at the end of the week if anybody wrote it at all.

We work in five places because those are the five where we found the same gap and could do something about it.

02  /  How we take work on

One place first, properly, before anything gets rolled out.

One ward, one block, one route, one package. Long enough to find out what the place is actually like, and small enough that being wrong about it costs a month rather than a year. Everything we have learned that is worth anything came from standing somewhere and watching the work happen.

FIRST

We come and look. What is fitted, who does the writing down now, and which question keeps going unanswered.

THEN

One area goes live and stays live for a few weeks, with us there for the awkward part in the middle.

AFTER

You decide whether it earned the next area. If it did not, you say so and we have both learned something cheaply.

03  /  What we will not do

Worth saying out loud before you ask.

01

We will not quote before we have walked the place.

A number written from a brochure is a number that gets revised twice. Sites, wards and campuses are all stranger in person than on a plan.

02

We will not ask you to rip out what already works.

If there are cards at the gate or units in the cabs, the job is to read them. Replacing hardware is the expensive way to start and rarely the useful one.

03

We will not hand over a dashboard and leave.

A screen nobody opens by the third week is not a deployment. The first weeks are spent watching people use it and taking things out.

04

We will not invent a case study.

We are early. When there is a site worth pointing at, we will point at it and name it. Until then this page stays as it is.

Talk to whoever is building it.

There is no sales team to get past. The person who replies is the person who will be standing on your site.
